Expectations | Dallas Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

Going into this session I had really high expectations. I have photographed this family before and the last session was nothing short of a dream come true. In fact, it was so good that their session was the first time my work had been published. (You can see the Lemonade and Lenses feature here)

Anyways, I get nervous when I have high expectations because the let down can be so hard when things don’t work out. To make my nerves a little worse, I had another photographer with me. Austin photographer, McKenzie Coronado was in town mentoring with me and she came with me to the session. Having another photographer with me, I wanted things to go well so she could get an idea of what a great session was like. No pressure:)

When we arrived at the clients home, all my nerves went out the window. I was greeted with a big smile and a hug and I was reminded just how much I enjoy this family. They are just the best. In fact if they lived closer to me, I would be begging them to hang out so we could have a glass of wine and let our kids play.

Their new addition is just as precious as their first. Except she has a pretty amazing head of hair. And that is always fun. Big brother is now two-years old and children at that age are a little bit of a wild card. He was pure perfection though.
