Photographing newborns is so incredibly special to me. I have been doing it for almost 11 years and it absolutely has my heart.
There is something so special and completely intimate about coming into a families home with a brand new baby. It is truly a sacred experience for me and one that I do not take lightly. And adoption newborn photography is no different. If anything it is more special.
What is even more special is when the newborn comes into the family via adoption. No matter what the adoptive road looked like, seeing the bond that is forged between baby and parents is nothing short of miraculous.
This particular session was gifted to the family by a group of friends. Spending my morning with this baby boy in his brand new nursery I was practically moved to tears. Multiple times. The story is one of joy and magic and timing and God’s providence.
I mean, look at his darling smile. He literally cannot get enough of his Mama and it was the sweetest thing to witness.
When I photograph a newborn session in your home, we spend a lot of time talking. Just trust me, it makes the entire process so much more comfortable. This session was no different.
During our time together, I was lucky enough to hear about this little guy’s hospital experience when he was born. Adding to the incredible details of this story are all the nurses involved. They literally bent over backward to accommodate this family being able to bond with their brand new baby.
I mean, can you tell that I just wish I could tell their entire story!?!? But alas, it is not mine to tell.
