Big Family | Boulder Colorado Vacation Photographer

The mountains are calling.

I literally feel this running through my veins every year around the end of May. Anyone else with me on this? I grew up going to Colorado for a few weeks every summer and it was always the highlight of my year. When the weather starts to get hot here in North Texas, my mind always wanders straight to the mountains and how quickly I can get myself there.

This precious Fort Worth family does the same thing. Every summer they travel to the cooler temps of Colorado, but for a different reason- Dad is from the Denver area and his family is still there. Months and months ago, Mom reached out to me curious if I would trek to Colorado to photograph them in the mountains this year. I answered that question with a resounding YESSSS!

She planned the session to include the entire extended family. This was a pretty big project to take on, especially since I don’t do a ton of extended family sessions. But, since I adore them, and it was in the mountains, I couldn’t resist.

Y’all, I kid you not, this session could not have been more perfect. The weather was amazing. The location was magical. And the kids were rockstars! Okay, so were the parents:) We got every possible combination of people and still had plenty of time to play. It was so amazing. But really, don’t take my word for it. Here is what Mom had to say after receiving her gallery:

“I have to admit that I was a bit nervous going into an extended family travel session with 13 people (including 6 kids under the age of 8!), especially in an unfamiliar location in Colorado. Sabrina was confident, professional and so kind throughout the entire experience, from planning to execution. Not only did she capture the stunning beauty our surroundings, but, more importantly, she captured our love for one another in a uniquely indescribable way. If you have an opportunity to travel with Sabrina, do it!!! Sabrina is a true top-quality professional, and the entire experience from planning to executing the session will leave you with images you will treasure forever!”

Guys, I am hooked. On the mountains. On the beach. On a new city. Wherever your family holds a special memory, let’s go there and capture some magic! When you are planning your vacation for next year, think of me and let’s chat. Send me a message and let’s chat! I look forward to hearing where you want to go!
