Baby Makes Five | Fort Worth Newborn Photographer

I tell people all the time that when I am shooting newborn sessions at home, the more kids they have the more fun it is. Parents always think the session is mass chaos. And often times it is. BUT when you have three, four, five or more kids, your day to day IS often actual chaos so let’s keep things real.

People think chaos is a negative thing. And it definitely can be. BUT, a busy and loud home because of multiple children is beautifully chaotic. At least that is how I see it. I love to tell clients to trust me with this. I love to show them how I see their chaos and how point out that the noise and the mess and the house full of tiny humans IS beautiful.

Raising a bunch of little people is hard (I have three myself so I know this). It is stressful and exhausting and messy and loud. But y’all it doesn’t last. Before we know it our littles will be spending more time at school and friends and sports than at home. And then they move out and go to college to begin their lives. And just like that, the chaos is gone.

I PROMISE you that a session at home, whether with a newborn or just a litter of kids, will be one of the most valuable experiences that you have as a Mom. The images you take away will forever remind you of “that time” in your life. No matter if you have a stunning home or a very lived in home. Whether your kids bedrooms are magazine worthy or not. Even if you have crayons and crumbs everywhere, your home is 100% worthy of being photographed.

Honestly one of my favorite parts of this session was actually that it was a mentoring session. Natasha of NPS Photography flew to DFW to work with me and we had such a great time. Natasha was ready to expand her established business to include more lifestyle photography and she wanted to see me work. We shot this session together and worked together to create a game plan for how she can grow the lifestyle portion of her business.

If you are considering hiring a mentor to expand your business or finally start the business you have been dreaming of, I would love to chat. You can check out more information on the SGP mentoring program here and then send me an email to start the conversation.

PS: I love these hilarious photos that Natasha took of me shooting. And if you are curious, Yes, I will absolutely climb on the furniture at your in-home lifestyle session:)
