Student Feature | Erica Grandin Photography in Dallas

I first met Dallas photographer, Erica Grandin when she applied to participate in my mastermind in early 2020. She had just been ready to launch her business when the pandemic hit.

Erica instead, took the time to put some extra effort into education. She decided to use the extra time as a way to get her website primed, put business systems in place and set herself up for success before even officially opening her doors. She is one smart cookie.

I am so proud to say that she has done just everything she set out to do. In the less than 2 years I have known her, I have seen her do the work, open her doors, hone her skills and serve her ideal clients and community so well! Just call me one proud Mama bear.

Erica Grandin

Erica started in my original Making Lifestyle Work Mastermind (which has now become The Organized Photographer), then she moved into my monthly membership group and now she is apart of my 2022 Root to Rise group!

Yes, Erica loves to continue to learn and stretch herself. And here is the kicker, she actually shows up and does the work. She is committed to the process. She is committed to growing and pushing herself so that she can be better. Better for both herself and her clients. She wants to offer the best to her clients and I LOVE that about her.

Erica is is Mom to two boys, with another one on the way very soon, so she understands young children. She uses her own experience as a Mama to make her photo sessions a wonderful experience for her clients. In every session she shoots, especially newborn sessions, Erica focuses on Mom. She says this on her website,

“A newborn session is just as much about you as a Mother as it is your new baby. Yes, I will get pictures of all the little baby details and newborn stretches but also your entire family together welcoming new baby into your home.”

When I look at Erica’s work, I see genuine moments. And those are surprisingly hard to capture. She works really hard to get her families to be at ease during their experience and it shows in the work she creates.

Erica is a lifestyle photographer and defines that on her site as “less posing and more authenticity”. I cannot tell you how much I love that description. It is completely perfect! And she does it so well.

If you are in the greater Dallas area and are looking for a newborn and maternity photographer, Erica just might be your girl. Touch base with her online or give her a follow on Instagram to see an honest feed about motherhood and raising small humans.
