I first met Kellie almost 5 years ago when we both attended a Blair & Thurston retreat in Austin, Texas. Since that group, we have remained online friends (the beauty of attending an intimate retreat together).
In that time, I have watched her family grow and her work continue to evolve, although it has always been super emotional and incredible.
After keeping up online for a few years, Kellie jumped into my course, The Organized Photographer and it gave us the chance to reconnect. After “graduating” the course, she jumped into my alumni membership and in 2022, she snagged a mastermind seat in Root to Rise!
The first thing you need to know about Kellie is that she has an incredible eye for moments. She is able to capture real emotion in an image. Which, just trust me here, is a really hard thing to do. But Kellie does it so well.
One of the reasons that Kellie captures family so well is that she is a Mama to SEVEN. Yep, he has 7 kiddos and, as you can imagine, she has lots of experience in every possible parenting situation. Toddlers don’t stress her out. Newborns don’t stress her out. Big families don’t stress her out. She nails it all.
When looking at qualifications in a family or newborn photographer, experience with children should be an absolute must. And obviously Kellie has lots of that.
Over the years that I have known Kellie, I have watched her work, and her business grow. She has such an incredible eye for moments. She has such a heart for adventure and trying new things. She has a passion for making her art and her business the best it can be. And I have watched her slowly and methodically do the work. And it shows.
On her website, Kellie says,
“My favorite part of my job is that I get to work with families to capture their honest, authentic, messy, beautiful love for one another. My number one goal is that you walk away with real and genuine photos that truly capture this season in your family life.”
Can I just tell you what a beautiful sentiment that is! And not only that, what a gift she is giving her clients. Her goal is to capture your family in all it’s beautiful glory. Seriously, run, don’t walk to connect with Kellie about your next session in the Williston, North Dakota area.
If you are in the Williston, ND area and looking for a newborn or family photographer, I highly recommend Kellie. Shoot her a message on her contact form or give her a follow on Instagram to get her beautiful work in your feed.
