Tis the season where the shopping list is long and the ideas are running dry.
Why is it you can think of a great gift for your mother-in-law in March, but now when you actually need to purchase something you draw a complete blank? The struggle is real.
I am going to share a few gift ideas that maybe aren’t on your radar but would make wonderful gifts to a variety of people on your shopping list. And here is the kicker, none of these things is photo related. (Shocker, I know).
I really am keeping this post short and sweet, sharing things that I LOVE or are a no-fail option for your back pocket.

Bearaby Weighted Blanket
I am not exaggerating even the slightest when I say this, but my Bearaby cotton napper is literally the greatest Christmas gift that I have ever received. LITERALLY.
I was given this blanket for Christmas last year and have slept with it every night that I am home. And, to be honest, I have thought long and hard about bringing it on road trips with me. The sleep I get when I use it versus when I don’t is night and day. You can’t even compare the two. It is the best thing about coming home from a trip. (okay, second best to seeing my family)
My kids have tried to steal my Bearaby constantly. They agree with me that it feels like you are being given the most wonderful hug. It is the most comforting feeling and it is hard to explain. Just trust me on this, you need a Bearaby. Your friends and family need a Bearaby. Everyone needs a Bearaby. You will win Christmas is you gift this to someone. I promise.
To go ahead and answer some questions that I get asked frequently about the Bearaby: Yes, it takes getting used to. No, it doesn’t hurt or leaving you aching. Yes, I sleep much deeper with it. No, it is not hot AT ALL. Yes, it is worth every single penny. No, it isn’t meant to be shared. It is personal size although they do make a Queen-sized shareable blanker option now.
I just checked online and if you order in the next 24-48 hours you can still get it in time for Christmas. If you are stuck on someone, this is your answer. Or if you want to treat yourself to something special this year, again, this is your answer. The gift of incredible sleep for 2022? Yes, please.
2. Cultivate Planner Powersheets
I cannot sing enough praises about Cultivate Planner Powersheets. I. Am. Obsessed. But it took me a while to be a believer. Let me tell you the story…
I became aware of Powersheets a few years ago and was intrigued immediately, but honestly, for the wrong reasons. I love paper and pretty things and these definitely fit that bill. I watched people rave about them for YEARS. I watched people sing their praises for YEARS. But I never pulled the trigger.
In late 2020, I decided that after the crazy year we had, I was going to treat myself to a Cultivate Planner Powersheets and see what all the fuss was about. It arrived and I was immediately in love with the product. I mean, the quality is stunning. But I knew that I had to do the work and commit to the process of using it before I could give an honest review.
I completed the (fairly intense) prep work. I marked off days each month to do reviews and keep my goals up-to-date. I did the quarterly reviews. I didn’t skip anything. And y’all, at the end of my first Cultivate year, I don’t think it is any coincidence that I met MOST of my goals this year. These goals include business growth, new habits and weight loss. Yep, it wasn’t just a lucky year, I was SUPER intentional by using my Cultivate Powersheets cover-to-cover.
Who is this a good gift for? Anyone that is struggling with a big vision and no clue how to reach their goals. Anyone who isn’t happy with where they are right now and wants to make changes. And no, this is not just for entrepreneurs. You can 100% use, and LOVE, Powersheets as someone who doesn’t work. Moms, Grandma’s, Friends, Coworkers, all of the women you know would LOVE this gift.
I already have mine (the kelley green) in hand and a date marked off at the end of the month to get it all setup and ready to roll into 2022! If you are curious more about how I use Powersheets or what they look like inside, I talk about this at the end of this Instagram live)
3. Finally Learn to Blog
Okay this may seem like it is out of left field but stick with me. I love giving education and experiences as gifts (Says the course creator, mentor and mastermind leader). Education and experiences are things that your recipient can take with them and will last forever.
My friend, Kate Kordsmeier, always says, “Blogging isn’t dead.” And that is so true.
As someone who is friends with a LOT of people who blog for a living, I can tell you with absolute certainty that it is NOT dead. In fact, it is still a VERY lucrative industry.
If you have ever been interested in becoming a blogger, then taking Kate’s course, 6 Figure Blog Academy, is a must. And let me back up a second. I know that in the world of social media today, the word “blogger” might feel icky to you. It is often up there with “influencer” and some people really don’t like those words because they seem super fake and we know the world doesn’t need more fake.
But let me assure you that you can totally be an honest and authentic blogger (or influencer for that matter). You can stay true to your heart, your values and your beliefs while still running a blog as a profitable business. And yes, it can be perfect for the Stay-at-home-Moms out there.
The key to being successful, just like anything else, is to learn how to do it well. Yes, there are right and wrong ways to blog. And if you are going to put the time and effort into it then I want you to see the fruits of your labor. If you have ever had a dream to learn this skill then jump into Kate’s course this year before it is retired FOREVER!
Not sure you are ready to jump in and want a sneak peak of what Kate teaches in her course? She has this totally FREE masterclass available: 3 Secrets to 6 Figure Blogging that you can check out.
4. Your Best Year Ever by Michael Hyatt
This book is perfect for anyone. Literally anyone. Okay, maybe not little kids, but anyone over the age of 15 could read, and benefit from this book.
Michael Hyatt walks the reader through how to properly set, and actually achieve your goals. And who doesn’t want that? I mean, to be able to set and ACHIEVE goals, now THAT would be something.
I know what you might be thinking, those kinds of books are hard to read. They are boring. They aren’t as fun to read as say, historical fiction, and. I get it. I struggle with that too. But I promise you that the author is funny, his stories are super relatable and the content is easy to digest. You will learn something.
Your Best Year Ever falls into the category of “Appropriate gift for even the toughest to shop for”.
