Simply Us in the Kitchen | Fort Worth Family Photographer

Remember when I was so excited to announce SGP Simply Us sessions last summer? And then I never posted anything further about it?

Yea, my bad.

Ask any photographer and they will tell you that blogging generally falls at the bottom of the to-do list…right next to cleaning out closets and printing our own photos out. It is a real struggle.

BUT, I am resolving to change that. Right here right now. I have sooooo many gorgeous families to show you. So many babies and travel locations and don’t even get me started on content for other photographers. Gosh, my brain is literally exploding with blog content. Ha!

Anyways, I don’t even know where to begin with this session. It is LITERALLY what photographer dreams are made of. If you are in the DFW area, I am sure that you will recognize this beautiful face. This is Jodie, the ridiculously talented photographer behind Reverie Photo Co. Jodie also happens to be my business partner at our photography education brand, Yes, Let’s.

Jodie wanted to capture a chill Saturday at home before her youngest started Kindergarten and their routines changed. They planned to bake some cookies together and then just do normal stuff together.

When I arrived and her daughter was in a pink princess dress I was literally elated. These are the kind of details that make Simply Us sessions so perfect. No perfectly starched picture clothes. No posing in the best locations. No smiling for the camera. Take away the stiffness of photo sessions and add in the ease of being together at home and THAT is where you get Simply Us sessions.

I cannot wait to shoot more of these in 2020. If you want to know more about these sessions or are ready to get one on the books, shoot me an email and let’s get the conversation started.
