Goodness gracious I love this family. They are the prime example of what magical goodness comes from building a relationship. We met when I photographed their oldest’s newborn session. I pretty much fell in love with them immediately. Over the years I have been blessed enough to capture all the milestones and to really get to know them. When I see them we talk. About real stuff. I adore their children. I cheer for their successes and am sad during their trials. And because I know them beyond a traditional client/professional relationship, I feel like I do so much better at capturing their memories.
For this session we did something completely new and different. We spent a morning capturing them as real life. This documentary session was so wonderful. I came over one morning while they were making breakfast. I got to witness the chaos that is inevitably present with little ones underfoot in the kitchen. I got to sit at the table with them over a meal. After breakfast, the kids got dressed and we walked down to the neighborhood park to just play. We didn’t pose. I didn’t look for amazing light. We just played and I acted like their personal paparazzi:)
Documentary sessions have my heart. They are challenging but the results are so powerful. THIS is your life. Right now. No perfect fronts. Chaos and mess are part of the picture. I would love to do this for your family too. To freeze time and create a completely unique story for your family to treasure forever.
