Just Trust Me | Fort Worth Lifestyle Newborn Photographer

Mama, I can handle your chaotic household. I promise.

Yes, even if you have a bunch of kids.

Yes, even if you have a bunch of animals.

Yes, even if your house is a mess.

Yes, even if your baby is a bit fussy.

Yes, even if your toddler is a hot mess.

Yes, even if your husband doesn’t like photos.

Yes, even if there is a thin layer of dust covering things.

Yes, even if you are exhausted from a newborn who just won’t sleep.

Just take a deep breathe. Relax a bit. And trust me.

I have been photographing young families for 10 years. Not to mention raising my own three crazy children. I promise you that I can fully relate to the messy chaos of parenthood. I have been in your shoes. I understand where you are right now.

I don’t expect perfection from your family. I don’t expect perfectly behaved children. I don’t expect perfectly clean homes. I don’t expect babies who are silent.

Those are all things that are natural and completely normal when raising a house full of young children and I am not asking you to change them.

What I am asking is that you trust me. Let me take a peek inside your daily life and capture the magic. Let me show you what I see. Let me show you the beauty that is around you right now, even when you are too tired to see it.

Mothering tiny humans is freaking hard work. All the time. No matter the ages or stages you are in. But especially if you have a newborn.

Whether this baby is your first or your fifth, the sleepless exhaustion and pain that come with the postpartum days is insane. The thought of welcoming a photographer into your home may make you cringe.

If that is you, let me tell you this:

In the past 10 years, I have photographed more than 250 newborn sessions. Some were angelic first children. Others screamed the entire time. Some had multiples who were out of sync and one was happy when the other was fussy. Many of these sessions included wild toddler siblings. Most of these sessions required at least one pause to feed or soothe a crying baby.

In all these sessions, it is rare that I haven’t needed to straighten up, move or rearrange something. Even in the most beautiful home. I have seen half of these moms nursing and the other half bottle feed their baby. I have met what feels like a zillion dogs and cats.

I have had babies spit up on me, poop on me, and sometimes do both. I have helped change diapers and soothe babies to sleep (all pre-covid).

In all of these years, I have walked into every kind of home, photographed babies of all ages, and met hundreds of incredible parents and siblings. Every session is special. Every session has an opportunity to capture magic.

I do not take what I do lightly. I love photographing newborns and young families with all my heart. If you will let me, I will show you the beauty that you might be too exhausted to see.

Momma, these days are fleeting and your babies are growing so fast. Don’t worry about the mess or the chaos or the baby weight or the cranky toddler. I can, and will make magic through all of it. I promise you. Just trust me.
