Mentoring | Fort Worth Lifestyle Photographer

SGP is finally offering mentoring for professional photographers. I have been asked repeatedly for years if I would be willing to mentor. I never felt good enough or proficient enough or like I had anything to offer. Last year I finally stopped believing that lie and realized that I needed to make the leap and start offering mentoring.

I have always loved to “talk shop” with other photographers. I have always loved the business side of this industry. I have a Master’s degree in merchandising (which has a lot of branding and business education involved). I grew up learning photography from my parents who both loved it and valued it. I have a well established business and have made a LOT of mistakes along the way. I do have a lot to offer.

A mentoring session with me is a very customized experience. We will meet in person and spend hours chatting about whatever you want…business, shooting, marketing, branding, social media, editing, portfolio reviews, starting a business, growing a business, etc. After we have spent several hours talking through it all you will attend a session with me- newborn or family, your choice. You can watch. You can shoot. You can ask questions. You can do it all. After the session we will get together to chat more and decompress a bit. At this point, the in-person part of the experience is over. For the next month, I am all yours to call/text/email and ask questions. We will have a phone call or Skype session a month or so later to touch base see how things are going.

If a full mentoring session isn’t quite what you want or need then I also offer online portfolio reviews. No traveling and a smaller price tag. This is a great way to get some ideas on ways to push your work to the next level and also see what areas need a bit of tweaking.

I am so very excited about this change. I cannot wait to connect with other photographers and share my knowledge. If you are interested in more information on a mentoring session with me, please reach out to me at sabrina@sabrinagebhardt.com
