Whether you have been in business for a few years or are just starting out, there is one thing that you can do that will guarantee you progress and a big catapult forward.

After almost 10 years in this industry, this is something that I still do for myself every year or two.

Speaking from experience, this is one of the only investments that you can make in your business that you are guaranteed to see a big return on.

This one thing offers all of this:

Clarity in direction and how to reach goals.

Direct answers to questions that are unique to you and your business.

Support for the short and long term.

Practical steps to take toward making your desired changes happen.

Do you know what I am talking about yet? Yep, I am talking about hiring a mentor.

Before you see this as a sales pitch and scroll right past, hear me out. I was in your shoes once. I was new in business and had what felt like a zillion expenses. I was overwhelmed and already heading toward burnout. I had dreams of hiring a mentor but the price tag terrified me. Not to mention the fear I had thinking that a “real photographer” mentor would call me out as a fraud.

And then I stopped. I stood up and told myself to stop saying those things. I decided to take the leap and I was terrified. I hired my first mentor in 2014. It was a huge jump for me but I took the risk.

Within just a couple of months of my experience, my business was catapulted in the direction I wanted to go. I had a clear path. I was working smarter. I was making more money and with clients I adored.

The trajectory of my business changed when I hired a mentor. And I want the same for you too.

Running your own business is hard. But you don’t have to do it alone.

Whether or not I am the right fit for you is for you to decide. But I encourage you to do your research and find someone that IS the right fit. Do it for you. Do it for your business.
